My experience with Northern Haus throughout my two-year engagement was AMAZING! My husband and I not only had a productive time planning with Sara and Megan but a FUN time planning with them! The whole Northern Haus team is one of a kind, and if I could get married again, I would no doubt have it there. Sara was my day of coordinator, and I was the chillest, most relaxed bride my whole day because of her and her team. I was able to enjoy every moment and didn't have to worry about any of the details because she took care of everything. She was able to do a complete room flip from our ceremony to the reception, and once I saw that reveal, I balled my eyes out. Sara and her team were able to make my vision come to life. Having planned every detail over two years and seeing it all come together exactly how I wanted it to meant so much to me. I honestly can't recommend Northern Haus as a venue and Sara as a day of coordinator enough.
Our wedding day was simply the best day of our lives and Northern Haus was a huge part of that reason! Our day of coordinator, Megan, was an amazing help to make everything perfect! She always came by to check on us throughout the night. Sara and her husband are so kind and helped us during our day as well. We are so blessed that we got to spend our wedding day at this beautiful venue. Everything was absolutely perfect and we will always recommend anyone to get married here!
Sara and her team were very gracious hosts and the venue is one-of-a-kind in a beautiful area. Unlike anything else in Door County for a modern and luxury wedding experience. Our day was magical and exactly as we imagined!

We got married at Northern Haus and we cannot even begin to explain how amazing the experience was (1000/10) and we cannot recommend it enough.
The venue itself is breathtaking. We booked our wedding date before we toured and it was even better in person. We were a little worried about our décor not being enough because we wanted something simple, but the venue is so beautiful on its own we never felt under-decorated.
We also cannot recommend having Sara as your day-of coordinator enough. She was immensely helpful, even during the planning stages. We planned everything ourselves and she was so kind and quick to answer any questions we had. She handled everything day-of flawlessly and kept even our most inattentive friends and family on schedule. She handled everything so we didn’t have to and we did not have to worry about a single thing because we knew it was in great hands. We had to move our wedding indoors the night before, but in the morning she even offered to do some extra work to reverse any work they had already done so that we could have our wedding outside as planned.
Sara and the Northern Haus staff were also extremely inclusive. We had a very non-traditional wedding as well as a non-traditional wedding party, so we were a little stressed about how things would work. Sara quickly adapted and even commented about using gender neutral language, which made more of an impact than she could have ever known for our wedding party members.
The Trolley is gorgeous and worth it if you are thinking about transportation for your day! :)
Nick, Sara, and the rest of the Northern Haus team took care of everything and made our day seamless - They even participated in our tik tok we were making. We got compliments all night long about every aspect of the venue. You cannot go wrong with choosing Northern Haus for your special day.

Incredible experience! From the very beginning at booking, Sara and her team at Northern Haus made the planning process easy and enjoyable. Being from out of town, it added an element of difficulty but Northern Haus answered every single question we had from the very beginning and made this the best experience ever! After touring Northern Haus & meeting with Sara & her husband, I knew that NH was “the one.” My fiancé was unable to tour the venue with me & did not see the venue until our wedding day. We truly could not have asked for a better place to have our wedding – it was absolutely perfect. The venue itself is stunning – the perfect blend of country meets modern-farmhouse-industrial-chic. The expansive property offers an intimate outdoor ceremony space; a beautiful back porch & yard for socializing, yard games, & a bonfire pit; and the natural beauty surrounding the venue is perfect for photos.
Sara was so wonderful to work with. She is very much a part of the community in Sister Bay & provided a list of recommended vendors to work with. Sara is extremely organized & responded to all of my questions/ concerns promptly, which is huge in terms of reducing the stress of planning a wedding from out of state. Sara was very willing to help with anything we needed to ensure our wedding day was perfect.
Both Sara & her husband were present at the venue throughout our day to ensure things ran smoothly, which truly meant a lot. At the same time, the staff & bartenders at NH were second to none – so kind & friendly to our guests. Our friends & family cannot say enough good things about Sara & her husband, the staff, & NH itself. It truly is a dream venue & we would highly recommend it to anyone looking to have their wedding in Door County.
We were originally going to have our wedding at Northern Haus in September of 2021 but due to covid (and me and my family being from Sweden), my family was not able to travel to the US so we had to postpone our wedding to June of 2022. Sara was very helpful and understanding with our situation. Throughout the whole planning process, Sara and the Northern Haus team was such a great resource. The preferred vendors were very friendly and great to work with, and it was very helpful that they knew the venue already so they all knew what to expect and could help make sure our vision came to life.
Having Sara as our day of coordinator was the best decision ever! She made sure our day flowed smoothly and made sure that my husband and I were at the right place at the right time. Thanks to Sara, we were able to enjoy our wedding day to the fullest and not have to worry about a thing. Having planned events and concerts in different capacities and different parts of the country for over 20 years, I’ve never hosted an event at a venue that was so thoughtfully and beautifully conceived and managed. We started our journey of wedding planning early on in our engagement. We both knew we wanted to get married in the intimate, beautiful and charming location of Door County. The hard part was finding the right fit in the venue, knowing that Door County has limited variety of updated & modern options. We came across the ad of Northern Haus and immediately was in love. We met with Sara & Nick in the very early stages of them building their venue, Northern Haus in 2019. With the space not being 100% complete we had complete trust in the vision for our date in 2021!! We were correct! Our vision was perfect and that came with the help of Sara & Nick at Northern Haus. We had a long engagement and Sara was constantly in response to all of our questions as planning move forward. Nick was always welcoming to us when we wanted to view the grounds multiple times before the big day. We could not say more amazing things about the beauty, style and variety that Northern Haus provides. This space comes with unlimited vision for any style couple, but comes with even better people on the inside to help your dream day to become a reality!! When my fiancé and I started to look for a wedding venue in 2019, we knew the moment we saw Northern Haus that we had to get married there. Our 2020 date was postponed, but Sara made it easy. She handled the pandemic with such grace and so much kindness. During the planning process, communication was always timely and complete with Sara who perfectly balances professionalism and personal touch. We were finally able to hold our wedding in May of 2021 and it was worth the wait – something we were not always sure of after planning for twice as long as we had hoped. Sara was my Day of Coordinator, which I truly could not have done without. She is meticulous, hardworking, organized, calm, and gracious. Our night ended with an incredible, over-the-top guided wine and scotch tasting that Northern Haus put together for us. My fiancé and I truly would not change a single moment of our day, and we have Sara and Nick to thank for every bit of it!
Northern Haus and The Anderson's helped bring our Door County wedding come to life! Having to book the venue sight unsee we weren't sure how everything would work out but, Sara had many helpful tools and virtual tours ready for us to watch to help us during the planning process. The venue itself is gorgeous and makes for a wonderful backdrop for any theme. It's clean, well maintained, sound travels well, and is a great space to fit a large group. The price of the venue and the extra add ons do add up but, can be worth it just be sure to think through those as you are booking and planning out your day. Nick was great behind the bar and was excellent with our guests in making everyone feel at home in Door County. Sara makes the planning process easy if you aren't from the area with her vendor suggestions and reviews. Our "Wildly in Love" themed wedding was the most magical day we could've asked for at Northern Haus and Sara and Nick helped make that possible!! Beautiful venue, beautiful people, and beautiful town!
The setting of our DREAM wedding! All of our guests raved about how gorgeous this venue was. We used the outdoor ceremony space (Forest Retreat) and our ceremony truly looked like something out of a fairytale. This venue was perfectly designed to be the most beautiful canvas for your vision to come together on. Sara and Nick were so kind and friendly and worked closely with us to create our perfect day. We had Sara as our Day of Coordinator and the day went so, so smoothly. I know we owe it all to her outstanding talent and organization. While my bridesmaids and I were preparing for the ceremony in the gorgeous Luxury Suite, I had time to truly relax with my loved ones while Sara coordinated set-up and deliveries with my other vendors. She handled details I wouldn't even have known to cover and made the day such a breeze. The venue's sprawling property also made our portraits super simple. Everywhere you turn on the property is a new and gorgeous photo setting, so far we have only received a sneak peak from our photographer but every photo so far is stunning! Not to mention, the venue's setting in Sister Bay made for such a fun weekend for all of our guests. Everyone loved exploring the charm of Door County's boutique shops, unique restaurants, and wineries on the coast of Lake Michigan. So many of our guests told us they had never visited Door County before but would certainly be back. Thank you Sara and Nick for helping us create the wedding of our dreams!!
I really don't even know where to start on all the incredible things I can say about Northern Haus and owners Sara and Nick. Initially seeing the venue online, obviously its insanely gorgeous; a beautiful outdoor ceremony space, the cutest covered patio and fire pit set up, drop dead bar area and what the heck even accommodations for both our girls and guys to get ready (like amazing accommodations!!!!) All of these things that made us initially fall in love with Northern Haus became nothing compared to the actual experience we had with Sara and Nick through the year + of planning and day of experience. Upon my first inquiry and probably until the end of time, Sara will be and was so responsive and helpful with any request or question we had. There were so many things I wouldn't have ever even thought of when it came to planning a wedding, but it didn't matter, because they had it ALL covered. We had switches to guest counts, additional drinks added to our package, a scramble until the morning of to decide if we would move the ceremony indoors because of the rain and they handled it all with such grace and professionalism. Our wedding day was an absolute dream, the team there really makes you feel special and calm, like it's your best friends handling your wedding and they want to make sure everything goes perfectly. We could not possibly be happier that we chose Northern Haus as our venue, it along with Sara and Nick are in our hearts forever.

My partner and I had our first date at Peninsula State Park. When we were looking for a space to host our informal, summer camp-themed reception, we found (and quickly fell in love with) Northern Haus. The modern farmhouse surrounded by fields of wildflowers was the perfect setting for our celebration.

We were drawn to this venue because it seemed like the perfect combination of everything we could have wanted. An outdoor space with seating and arch provided and the indoor space furnished, open, welcoming, modern and accommodating.
Let me just state that my husband and I live about 3 hours away from this space and as I mentioned - we had never seen it in person. Sara was responsive and organized and we decided to recruit her as our Day of Coordinator. If you go to the venue without taking advantage of this service - you're shorting yourself! We could not have been more blessed to have Sara there as a calming influence guiding the day along and taking things as they came!
Our whole event from the start of planning to the end of the night and beyond has been truly remarkable and unforgettable! The outdoor and indoor spaces are clean and unique to your day with a floor plan you get to customize! We had beautiful wood tables provided to us and a special entrance from their upstairs loft area. Our guests also took FULL advantage of their champagne wall and bar services.
We loved working with Sara and the entire staff and would most certainly recommend them to anyone looking to host their wedding there!
